Summoner's Symbiont-ELf DS
This is a Symbiont Conversion from the Previously
released Symbiont for Poser fully compatible with DS
in DS Format.
The system might differ from what you are used to have
in DS , it is due to the Different rigging type.
DS will Interpret this system like a Puppet master
System. you will see the Ghost bones that you can use
to guide bend the figure clicking these instead of
the body-parts. Or just got through the Hierarchy selecting
the body-parts.
The figure will bend , ok should bend just like in Poser.
It is just a DS Support version for the Daz studio users
that relay wish to have these figures working for DS.
You might have to Alter the Textures a little as I do not
have enough knowledge about DS.
this is how I will be able to provide Future support For
DS Users and the Products I make until there will be other
Solutions.
Have a try, Let me know what you think.
Be aware it is still a Poser Figure that is adapted to work
In Daz Studio the best possible way.

I tried the Symbiont ELf in Daz.
Loads ok, loaded with bones showing. (as you said)
If I turn off the bones visibility I can't select body parts, only through the Scene tab.
I normally select the body parts by selecting directly on the model.
But it works.
Some of the joint movement was too much, most was set to 180 to -180 deg.
But it is quite useable and doesn't seem to break or distort.
Renders ok both in Iray and 3delight.

I tried today to make the body-parts selectable in DS , but like I thought it seems
not to be possible . this sort of figure is sort of only working in compatible mode
with a extra line in the DS script else it would not even be possible to use it in
DS.

if you try to load the Poser version , sure then you get to select the bodyparts
but the whole vertex paint that influences attached body-parts get lost on load
that is causing breaks in bending.

Ds Might consider one day to support simple WM as it is even used in there Carrara
Program so it would not even be a big step to do it

The figure is even the way provided in Triax mode and not even that activation
makes the simple WM to get lost . Posibilities for DS would be amazing if
it would support this normal feature. it would also ease up the work-flow of any creator
and be allot more stable.
